The Role
As a Managing Consultant – Generative AI & NLP, you will take on a technical leadership role at the intersection of strategy, architecture, and delivery.
You will design and implement Generative AI and NLP solutions for high‑impact client projects, advise stakeholders on feasibility and architecture decisions, and contribute to shaping the organisation’s growing GenAI service portfolio. Alongside hands‑on technical work, you will mentor team members and support cross‑functional initiatives of high strategic relevance.
Your Responsibilities
* Collaborate closely with internal teams and client stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
* Present and explain technical solution concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
* Support proposal development, pre‑sales, and acquisition activities
* Scout, design, and oversee larger client projects with high strategic and technical relevance
* Act as Technical Lead on selected projects, designing Generative AI and NLP systems optimised for performance, latency, cost, scalability, and complexity
* Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and constructive feedback to less experienced colleagues
* Contribute to the development of internal products and the expansion of the GenAI service portfolio
* Support professional marketing and thought leadership initiatives
* Continuously monitor developments in NLP, LLMs, and Generative AI and actively translate innovation into client solutions
Your Profile
* At least 7 years of professional experience in Data Science, NLP, Machine Learning, or Generative AI, ideally in a consulting or project‑based environment
* Proven expertise in the design and production deployment of NLP- and LLM‑based systems
* Strong hands‑on experience with tools and methods such as:
* LLM APIs and agent frameworks
* Vector databases and retrieval‑based approaches
* Evaluation methods for GenAI systems
* Very good knowledge of modern ML frameworks (e.g. PyTorch) and experience with fine‑tuning, post‑training, and inference optimisation
* Ability to develop clean, scalable, and performant production code
* Experience with cloud‑based architectures and MLOps / deployment workflows on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
* Confident client‑facing presence and the ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly
* Structured, proactive, and independent working style, even in complex environments
* Very good German and English skills (C1 level or higher)
