Customer Support Engineer – Metrology Systems (On-site & Remote)

We're currently looking for a Customer Support Engineer to join our Applications team. In this hybrid role, you'll provide both on-site and remote technical support to customers across the region. You'll work hands-on with advanced metrology machinery, helping customers overcome technical challenges, optimize their processes, and achieve the highest levels of precision in production.
What You’ll Do:
* Deliver technical support and expertise to customers—both remotely and directly at their facilities.
* Analyze measurement data and develop tailored measurement solutions to meet unique customer needs.
* Configure and fine-tune high-precision measuring instruments for specific applications.
* Perform factory and on-site acceptance testing to ensure customer satisfaction.
* Train customer personnel and internal teams on system operation and maintenance.
* Conduct measurement studies to evaluate system and sensor performance.
* Document test procedures, feasibility studies, and results in detailed technical reports.
* Collaborate with the sales team by providing live product demonstrations and expert guidance during the sales process.
What You Bring:
* A degree in physics, electrical engineering, automation, or a related technical field.
* First experience in customer support, technical service, or an applications engineering role.
* Ideally, knowledge in semiconductor manufacturing, optics, spectroscopy, or solid-state physics.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong customer-first mindset.
* Willingness to travel (up to 30%) for on-site support and training.
* Confident communication skills in both German and English.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong presentation abilities.
