We are looking for an experienced DevOps / Platform Engineer to help us develop an enterprise-wide, unified AWS-based IT platform. This is an exciting greenfield opportunity to collaborate with architects and development teams in creating a secure, scalable, and efficient IT platform.
You will ensure everything runs the way it's supposed to, and provide the service availability and service levels expected of a world-class IT company. You will also be involved in teams on a daily basis, providing infrastructure and tools to other teams, such as deployments, CI/CD.
Furthermore, you are experienced in AWS services like EKS, S3, ALB, API Gateway… Configuration management and security should be top-of-mind and rolling out globally redundant, auto-scaling environments should excite you. How you can drive the energy transition forward:
* Develop and maintain AWS environments for sonnen's applications.
* Manage the deployment and configuration of these applications.
* Oversee infrastructure deployments, both internal and cloud-based.
* Automate tools for systems and teams.
* Collaborate with system and database administrators to maintain service levels for all systems.
* Define configuration management and deployment procedures, including post-release monitoring and risk analysis.
* Deploy, improve, and maintain monitoring tools.
* Interact with other teams to promote best practices.
* Create and maintain stability and performance tests.
What you will need for this journey:
* Minimum of 2+ years of relevant work experience.
* Strong documentation skills.
* Experience with elastic scalable systems.
* Expertise with Amazon Web Services (IAM, Multi-Account Setups, CiS Benchmark, EKS, RDS, serverless, etc.).
* Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform.
* Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes.
* Experience with logging and monitoring tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, Cloudwatch, ELK, Zabbix).
* Strong Linux administration skills.
* Experience with Ruby, Python, or any high-level programming language is a plus.
* Fluent German and English language skills, both spoken and written.
