Senior Legal Counsel M&A
Location: Hamburg
Our client is seeking a legal professional to provide expert advice and support on a variety of complex corporate transactions.
Responsibilities:
* Offer legal guidance during initial transaction planning and documentation stages.
* Support compliance and governance requirements throughout deal execution.
* Oversee and coordinate due diligence efforts.
* Prepare and negotiate key transactional documents, ensuring alignment with internal stakeholders.
* Assist in obtaining necessary regulatory and internal approvals.
* Facilitate the closing process and monitor fulfilment of contractual obligations.
* Develop procedures for the interim period between contract signing and completion.
* Manage relationships with external advisors and oversee related budgets.
Requirements:
* Qualified lawyer with relevant professional accreditation.
* Significant experience in corporate transactions, preferably with a focus on M&A.
* Strong communication and negotiation capabilities.
* Commercial awareness and ability to work across cultures.
* Excellent organisational and project management skills.
* Fluency in German and English required; additional languages beneficial.
* Collaborative mindset and readiness to work in an international setting.
* Willingness to travel as needed.
