Job Description

In this exciting role, you will take on the strategic and operational leadership of a complex portfolio of projects in the field of medical technology instruments. You will ensure that all projects are successfully implemented in alignment with the overall strategy. Additionally, you have a strong technical interest and are able to provide subject-matter guidance for these projects.
1. You will manage your programs with operational responsibility and oversee the budgeting and cost control of the projects in your area. You will also be responsible for meeting timelines and maintaining quality standards.
2. You will harmonize the associated projects to shape cohesive programs and will actively contribute to technical solutions in development projects.
3. As a central interface between interdisciplinary teams (e.g., production, marketing, regulatory affairs, R&D reagents), you will represent your programs within the business segment in corporate strategy and goal meetings and report directly to the leadership team and the company owner.
4. In your leadership role, you will continuously contribute to the development of the business segment and the R&D Engineering department. You will achieve this by identifying and leveraging synergies across departments and teams.
5. When needed, you will also lead individual projects yourself and take on technical leadership and mentoring of project managers. You will promote the exchange of knowledge and experience within the team. Through your leadership skills and commitment, you will help build a strong, agile team.
Qualifications
6. You hold a degree in engineering or a related technical field (Master’s degree, PhD is a plus).
7. You have several years of relevant professional experience, including substantial experience managing complex projects, ideally in regulated environments (e.g., medical devices, biotech, pharma).
8. You have a passion for technology and are well-versed in modern project management methods, a certification (e.g., PMP, IPMA) is a plus.
9. You combine strong communication skills with diplomatic finesse; you inspire teams and lead sovereignly and with confidence - even in challenging situations. With higher layer stakeholders, like e.g. the company leaders, you communicate on eye level. You have an agile mindset and a pragmatic, hands-on attitude.
10. You can speak English fluently and navigate comfortably in an international work environment. German is a plus.
