About the Role
The position of Lead Embedded Systems Developer is a key leadership role that requires expertise in firmware and electronics development. * You will oversee the planning, implementation, and monitoring of embedded systems projects to ensure timely delivery and adherence to budget requirements.
* Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware development, quality assurance, and external development partners, to successfully integrate their efforts.
* Develop and maintain modular platform solutions, integrating new technologies and trends in embedded systems to enhance quality and reduce development costs.
* Promote open-source principles and represent the company in external committees and communities.
* Implement best practices in product/software development, system/firmware architecture, verification, and validation strategies to ensure quality and reliability.
* Ensure compliance with relevant legal, normative, and cybersecurity specifications in all development processes.
About You
We are seeking an experienced professional with a degree in software engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field. Your background in technical leadership and developing high-performing teams in regulated environments and cybersecurity is essential.
* Proven experience in collaborative development with external partners nationally and globally.
* In-depth knowledge of programming languages such as C, C++, Python, and application knowledge of Linux-based real-time operating systems (e.g., Zephyr) and microcontrollers (e.g., CAN, CAN-FD, TSN).
* Familiarity with modern product and software development methods, along with associated CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub, Azure DevOps, Jira).
* Knowledge of platform development/product line engineering, with practical experience desired.
* A solution-oriented and analytical mindset, strong communication skills, and experience in stakeholder management.
