Dein Aufgabengebiet
The Federal business within Americas National is seeking candidates for a Manager of Projects position focused on Europe. This Manager of Projects will report to the Army/Air Force Director of Operations but will support the entire Federal Program. This role will be performed in Europe, and the candidate is expected to reside on the European Continent, preferably in Germany. Travel across Europe is required to visit client and project locations, as well as to where our delivery operations are located, and recurring meetings with delivery staff, clients, and the Federal team in various time zones will be required.
The Federal portfolio is comprised of a diverse set of US Government and Defense Contractor agencies and related customers, which may include other Interagency or International stakeholders. This position will focus on the successful delivery of work for all four operational client groups in our business to include Army/Air Force, Navy, Federal Civilian, and Defense Contractor portfolios. Additionally, this role will coordinate directly and work tangentially, with other Jacobs Operating Units, in Europe, to include Buildings and Infrastructure Europe, Energy and Power, Advanced Facilities, and the Environmental team (Environmental Planning/Remediation and Regeneration).
Key success factors for this position include agility and a willingness to take on new clients, the ability to effectively steward the core services delivered by the Americas Federal Performance Unit (PU), as well as pursue new types of projects/contracts, and work across other PUs and Business Units (BUs). Strong communication and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to build, lead and develop delivery teams, are a must.
As a Principal in the company, the MOP is accountable and responsible with the authority to commit the company to deliver work. Candidates must possess the business and financial acumen needed to lead a portfolio of contracts and projects, and have the ability to evaluate risks, opportunities, and balance competing priorities to make decisions on behalf of the company.
People
* Working closely with the Americas National Directors of Operations and other Federal MOPs and PMs. Guiding project teams in the development of project proposals and plans to accomplish project commitments.
* Working with our Delivery Operations staff on staffing strategies and workload forecasting. Mentoring and supporting the development of staff. Mentoring project managers to grow and develop them for growth and more senior positions.
* Facilitating the creation of communication plans, ensuring that appropriate information is exchanged among key stakeholders, and conducting status review meetings among project team members and clients.
Business
* Developing and delivering a portfolio of programs and projects across multiple clients; requires client management, contract management, planning/managing/reporting of performance metrics.
* Building out and managing a forecasted business delivery plan, making quarterly updates, and providing monthly reporting on financial performance and projected workloads.
* Leveraging Jacobs’ processes and systems to effectively monitor, manage, and when needed, seek additional support for the successful delivery of all work within program.
Sales
* Supporting Client Account Managers (CAMs) in developing and executing strategies for client management and growth, including managing client satisfaction and overall delivery satisfaction.
* Supporting CAMs in evaluating and then presenting new opportunities in the Go/No-Go process and developing winning strategies to grow business year over year.
* Leading the commercial/pricing strategy, engaging the CAM, Contracts Management Group, estimating and pricing specialists, including a commercial/pricing lead as appropriate.
* Responsible for developing business at the Task Order level and engaging the broader team to develop IDIQ contract mining strategies.
* Effectively represent Jacobs in the through engagement in professional organizations, industry forums/events, etc.
Quality
* Delivering the full range of planning, design, and construction including federal office fit out, renovations and new build, as well as full range of studies and consulting support. Assessing project requirements, while developing and recommending a sound approach or application to meet the needs of the project and client.
* Proactively managing quality issues by driving expectation discussions, satisfaction feedback discussions, and CPAR feedback
* Managing and enhancing project quality by sharing lessons learned and offering process improvements aimed at improving the effectiveness of their role, and of the project activities in general.

* An active security clearance is not required; however, a willingness to pursue and achieve a clearance is required.
* Bachelors’ degree in Science, Planning, Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or Business. A professional registration is a plus (e.g., PE, RA, PMP, CCM).
* 15 years of industry experience, including project management and leadership roles, is preferred.
* Understanding of, and experience in, delivering projects across the European Theater of Operations is preferred.
* Experience with and understanding of how the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) deliver projects is preferred.
* Demonstrated experience with the following:
o Planning, design, construction phase services, PM/CM and advisory solutions (Commissioning, Asset Management, Planning, Resilience/Sustainability Consulting).
o Contract management, project delivery methods, team and client relationship building.
o Development of competitively priced opportunities, including technical/project execution strategies, staffing, considering conditions, and collaborating with operations, sales, sales operations, solutions.
