As the Software Engineering Manager, you will lead Multipass, the workstation mini‑cloud that runs on macOS, Windows, and Linux. Multipass gives developers a local cloud experience to build, test, and run cloud appliances—without the overhead of a full cloud platform. Technical leadership experience and a solid software engineering background are required. You will coach, mentor, and grow a remote engineering team while driving high‑quality delivery and influencing culture. Role Responsibilities Lead a team of remote engineers. Develop talent through coaching, mentoring, and hands‑on career development. Set and manage expectations with engineering teams, senior management, and external stakeholders. Advocate and advance modern software development practices. Participate in code and architectural reviews. Engage with the open source community and partners. Work from home with global travel for 4–6 weeks per year. What We Are Looking For Strong people‑development skills and a track record of growing people. Focused on delivering timely, high‑quality software. Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Computer Science, STEM, or similar. Strong written and verbal technical communication. Expertise in modern C++ development. Cross‑platform experience on macOS and/or Windows. Knowledge of hypervisor technologies such as Hyper‑V, VirtualBox, and KVM.
