Your Tasks
1. Design and maintain statistical and machine learning models for demand forecasting and inventory optimization
2. Analyze large-scale supply chain data (SAP, RELEX, sales) to detect trends, anomalies, and improvement opportunities
3. Build decision-support tools and dashboards for replenishment, planning, and inventory management
4. Collaborate with Operations, IT, Category Management, and other stakeholders to embed predictive models into supply chain processes
5. Monitor and improve KPIs such as forecast accuracy, inventory turns, stock availability, and system usage
6. Lead research initiatives on new forecasting techniques, optimization models, and technologies
7. Support automation of manual processes, including user training and change management
8. Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying and implementing best practices
Your Profile
9. Bachelor’s/Master’s in Data Science, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
10. Several years’ experience in supply chain analytics, demand forecasting, or inventory optimization (retail or FMCG preferred)
11. Advanced proficiency in Python or R for analytics and predictive modeling
12. Strong SQL skills and experience handling large datasets
13. Knowledge of time series, machine learning forecasting, and inventory optimization techniques
14. Familiarity with optimization tools (. Gurobi, SAS)
15. Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills, with ability to communicate complex analytics clearly
16. Collaborative, proactive, and adaptable mindset
17. Fluent in English, fluency in German is an advantage
Preferred Qualifications:
18. Experience applying machine learning or large language models in business or supply chain contexts
19. Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Google Data Studio)
20. Experience with ERP and replenishment systems (SAP, RELEX)
21. Familiarity with orchestration tools (Terraform)
22. Knowledge of omni-channel retail or e-commerce environments
