Senior Azure Synapse Developer (f/m/d)
Your Tasks
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Azure Synapse Developer to join our business intelligence team. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-scale data solutions using Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in modern data warehousing, big data processing, and analytics platforms.
* Design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using Azure Synapse
* Optimize query performance and troubleshoot complex data processing issues
* Collaborate with data architects to design efficient data models and storage strategies
* Work closely with business analysts to translate requirements into technical solution
Your Profile
Required Technical Skills
Azure Synapse Analytics
* Proficiency in designing and implementing data pipelines using Synapse
* Knowledge of data integration patterns and ETL/ELT processes
* Knowledge of various data formats including JSON, Parquet
SQL Expertise
* Advanced T-SQL programming skills for complex query optimization and performance tuning
* Proficiency in writing stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers
API Integration
* Proficiency in consuming and designing REST APIs for data integration
* Experience with authentication methods (OAuth, API keys, service principals)
Data Engineering Fundamentals
* Strong understanding of data modeling concepts for both OLTP and OLAP systems
* Familiarity with DevOps practices for data platforms, including CI/CD pipelines
You are fluent in spoken and written English. Your working style is characterized by a high degree of independence, solution-oriented thinking and a proactive approach.
