ABOUT THE ROLE:
The senior Scheduler/Planner will plan and develop schedules for large-scale data center projects across Europe. This role involves working independently or in teams, managing locals, and defining scheduling processes for the Group. He/she will report to the Corporate Construction Planning Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical duties:
1. Schedule projects using Primavera P6, developing timelines for infrastructure projects over €100 million.
2. Analyze project documents to identify impacts and opportunities for improvement.
3. Establish and maintain plans, networks, and resources for new and ongoing projects, enhancing efficiency.
4. Develop and uphold the baseline schedule with S-curves and reporting formats for clarity.
5. Create project-specific procedures, including the Work Breakdown Structure and progress measurement methods.
6. Prepare insightful reports on progress, critical paths, deviations, and forecasts.
7. Seamlessly integrate contract scope changes into relevant plans.
8. Foster strong communication and follow up on project activities to resolve issues quickly.
9. Provide timely reports on changes to planned progress.
10. Work with other Project Services disciplines to ensure quality deliverables.
11. Collect and analyze historical data for improved planning and forecasting.
12. Understand and Use Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and Quantitative Schedule Risk Management.
13. Prepare and present Time-Impact Analyses (TIAs).
14. Review schedule narratives from stakeholders and provide constructive feedback.
15. Build relationships with clients through regular meetings and informative reports.
Other important responsibilities:
16. Improve schedule management processes at the Group level.
17. Coordinate with local planners and ensure schedule consistency.
18. Serve as the main contact for external customers regarding scheduling.
REQUIREMENTS:
General & technical skills:
19. Education equal to a bachelor’s or master’s degree in planning engineering discipline. Long and relevant work experience may compensate for lack of formal education.
20. 7 – 12 years relevant planning experience. Advanced knowledge in key areas of plannings techniques and analysis and a good understanding of current good engineering practice.
21. Ability to lead and function within a planning team and across multiple projects.
22. Ability to prioritize own workload.
23. Manage time, accordingly, manage changes within own remit on a project.
24. Inform team members where constraints will affect a project in terms of program or budget.
25. Demonstrable ability to work within time/budget constraints
26. Knowledge of Primavera P6 (mandatory).
27. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
28. Proficiency in English (engineering, construction.) and German
29. Solid analytical skills to collect and interpret data.
IT skills:
30. Proficient in P6 and all related modules.
31. Proficient in PRA or any other QSRA modelling software.
32. Skilled in Power BI & Ms Office.
