Job Description
We are seeking an exceptional educator and researcher to fill a Professorship in Art Education and Aesthetics. This is a full-time position assigned to the Department of Art and the Department of Art Studies and Aesthetics.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in art or another academic field, as well as a doctorate in aesthetics or philosophy of art. They will also possess relevant work experience in mediation and educational processes in the visual arts.
Responsibilities
* Teaching students of liberal arts and artistic teacher education with a transdisciplinary focus
* Supervising doctoral students
* Participating in higher education self-governance
Requirements
* Completed degree programme in art or another academic field
* Doctorate in aesthetics or philosophy of art
* Relevant work experience in mediation and educational processes in the visual arts
* Academic activity beyond the doctorate demonstrated by publications and conference participation
* Very good knowledge of English German
* Pedagogical aptitude and teaching experience
