ITM is a privately owned biotechnology and radiopharmaceutical group of companies dedicated to the development, production and global supply of targeted diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals and radioisotopes for use in cancer treatment. We are developing a proprietary portfolio and growing pipeline of targeted treatments in various stages of clinical development addressing cancers such as neuroendocrine cancers or bone metastases. Our main objectives are to significantly improve treatment outcomes and quality of life for cancer patients through a new generation of Targeted Radionuclide Therapies in Precision Oncology. The headquarters are located in the heart of the research center of the Technical University of Munich (TUM).
We would like to fill the following permanent vacancy in a hybrid working model in Garching as soon as possible
Head of Early Pipeline Strategy (f/m/d)
Lead the global medical affairs strategy for early-stage pipeline assets
Lead the team of Medical Affairs Early Pipeline Strategy
Create and execute of EPS Global Medical Affairs Plan that aligns with corporate and clinical development strategies
Work closely together with Drug Discovery, Clinical Development, Clinical Operations, Marketing, and Portfolio Management to elaborate medical strategy and advocacy for early preclinical programs as part of the Clinical Working Team
Contribute to engagement with KMEs and scientific advisory boards
Collaborate with the VP, Head of Global Medical Affairs and VP, Head of Clinical Development to align early medical programs with broader asset strategies
Partner with cross-functional teams to define target product profiles (TPPs), development priorities, and clinical differentiation under the guidance of the CMO to ensure scientific independence and compliance
Provide medical input into early clinical study designs as per program needs
Provide adequate market access insights and planning
Drive early external engagement with scientific experts, research networks, and patient advocacy groups to inform development strategy
Oversee the medical publication strategy, planning, abstract submissions, and congress presence for early pipeline products
Support internal asset prioritization and in-licensing evaluations with medical insight
Ensure scientific and ethical integrity in all early-phase activities, aligned with GCP and global compliance standards
Your profile
Advanced degree required: MD, PharmD, or PhD in oncology, nuclear medicine, or a related scientific discipline
10+ years of progressive leadership experience in Medical Affairs, preferably in oncology or specialty therapeutics
Proven track record of cross-functional collaboration in matrixed environments
Experience in shaping early development strategy, incl Patient Advocacy interactions and Market access planning
Strong scientific communication and external engagement capabilities
Deep understanding of GCP, ICH, and medical compliance standards
