The Role The Head of Global Compliance will report directly to the General Counsel and lead a team of regional compliance officers and specialists worldwide. This is a strategic and highly visible leadership position responsible for setting the direction of the global compliance programme, ensuring adherence to laws, regulations, and internal standards. Key Responsibilities Lead and continuously enhance the global compliance management system in line with international best practices (ISO 37301, US DOJ Guidelines, etc.). Advise senior management and the Board on compliance strategy, risk areas, and regulatory developments. Oversee the development, implementation, and monitoring of compliance policies and procedures globally. Manage anti-corruption, antitrust, trade compliance, data protection, and ESG-related compliance programmes. Supervise investigations into potential breaches of law or company policy and ensure appropriate remediation. Foster a strong culture of ethics and integrity through training, communication, and awareness initiatives. Coordinate with internal audit, HR, and legal teams to ensure an integrated risk management approach. Represent the compliance function externally with regulators, partners, and key stakeholders. Requirements Fully qualified lawyer (Germany or another major jurisdiction) or equivalent compliance professional background. Minimum 10 years’ experience in compliance or legal roles within an international corporate or industrial environment. Proven leadership experience managing global teams and influencing at executive level. In-depth knowledge of anti‑bribery, competition, export control, and data protection laws. Strong strategic, analytical, and interpersonal skills with a pragmatic, solution‑oriented mindset. Fluent in English and German; additional languages advantageous.
