Your Role as Assistant Store Manager You’ll be a strategic leader in the store - driving performance, leading teams, and ensuring operational excellence across key areas of the store. Your tasks will include: Supporting the execution of the store’s long-term strategy, aligned with Primark’s commercial goals and customer experience standards. Acting as a key decision-maker in the store – with real influence over how things are done. Leading and developing a team of Managers and Retail Assistants – with a strong focus on engagement, performance, and collaboration. Driving commercial results through strategic planning, data analysis, and a deep understanding of customer needs and market dynamics. Managing day-to-day operations to ensure smooth, compliant, and efficient store functioning across all departments. Taking ownership of People & Culture (HR) processes – including recruitment, onboarding, and development, in partnership with the Store Manager and People & Culture team. Monitoring market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities and risks. Managing stock and resources to optimise cost and availability. Contributing to local brand-building initiatives and participating in international projects that support Primark’s growth. Driving store sales by fostering a culture of commercial innovation within the team. Because you’re one of a kind! You’re a perfect fit if you: Have several years of experience in a senior retail leadership role – ideally as a Regional/Area Manager in a large-format, fast-paced environment or a Store Manager of a flagship large-format store. Know how to lead and inspire large teams (including both Managers and Retail Assistants) to achieve shared goals. Combine commercial awareness with a hands-on approach – you understand what drives performance and know how to turn insights into action. Are a confident communicator – you build trust, give clear feedback, and coach others to succeed. Thrive in dynamic environments – you’re proactive, solution-oriented, and ready to adapt to change. You have strong planning and organizational skills and the ability to work to agreed timescales Are fluent in English and Polish. Are open to working flexible shifts, including weekends.
