The opportunity for concurrently pursuing a PhD is offered. Your area of responsibility. * Designing computer experiments on logistic systems, statistical modelling of key performance indicators and uncertainty quantification. * Conducting original research e.g. in the fields of global sensitivity analysis, design of experiments, Gaussian process models and generalized additive models. * Overseeing and coordinating the project management on the day-to-day level, supervising student assistants, preparing required documentation. * Writing scientific publications for conferences and journals. * Working in an interdisciplinary, international team of statisticians, experts in logistics and computer scientists. Your qualifications and competencies. * A diploma or master’s degree in statistics or data science, or alternatively mathematics, computer science, logistics or a related program (with a focus on statistics or data science). * Knowledge of statistical software such as R, SAS and JMP as well as Python. * A strong interest in interdisciplinary work. * The capability to communicate scientific concepts in an accessible way. * A good level of written and spoken German and English is mandatory for this position.
