WHAT TO EXPECT
You will represent the field of “ construction methods engineering ” in the teaching and research area of construction management, delivering lectures on fundamental topics such as construction methods and safety engineering within the bachelor’s programmes.
Thanks to your expertise, your students will be able to choose the appropriate construction methods for various tasks in building construction, civil engineering, structural engineering, refurbishment and demolition.
In the master’s programme, you will impart practical knowledge, particularly in the field of construction methods engineering within the finishing trades and demolition.
You will also represent the field of construction methods engineering in cooperative degree programmes such as “Construction Management” and “Construction in Existing Contexts”.
Your application-oriented research will focus primarily on the areas of construction methods and safety engineering.
You will play an active role in further developing the department, and will get involved in university self-government.
YOUR BACKGROUND
Your expertise is based on a degree in civil engineering, focusing on construction site management, and a recognised doctorate .
As a basis for application-oriented teaching, you will have several years of relevant practical experience in the methods engineering planning and implementation of civil engineering projects, ideally also of renovation and demolition work.
You are keen to support the university’s internationalisation process by delivering courses in English, and ideally have experience teaching in higher education .
Ideally, experience in applying for research projects and an extensive network of practice partners round off your profile.
Advanced knowledge of German is essential for this position.
