Role Overview
The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) serves as both a team leader and individual contributor, playing a pivotal role in driving commercial success across a defined region. This player/coach position combines strategic oversight, people development, and hands-on customer engagement. The RSM is responsible for managing regional revenue performance, expanding key and strategic accounts, and guiding a high-performing sales team to deliver growth.
The successful candidate will develop and execute strategic roadmaps to unlock value with both direct customers and through indirect channels such as agents and distributors.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Growth & Account Development
* Develop and implement regional growth strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
* Own total revenue performance within the assigned region.
* Create and maintain Key Account Plans for top customers.
* Expand relationships with End Users, OEMs, distributors, and other partners.
* Promote and sell Chase Corporation brands, products, and services directly or through local agents/distributors.
Team Leadership & Coaching
* Serve as a "Player/Coach" by managing both individual sales responsibilities and team leadership duties.
* Develop training, coaching, and development pathways for sales team members.
* Foster a high-performance, customer-centric sales culture.
Customer Engagement & Sales Execution
* Maintain regular contact with existing and prospective customers to generate leads and opportunities.
* Conduct on-site meetings, presentations, and audits to understand customer needs and close business.
* Collaborate closely with Sales Application Specialists and Service Operations to support pre- and post-sales customer activities.
* Ensure customer satisfaction with products and aftermarket services, addressing concerns and proposing tailored solutions.
Reporting & Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports (e.g., forecasts, customer visits, pipeline tracking) and take corrective action to meet/exceed targets.
* Deliver sales and technical presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
* Collaborate with other Regional Sales Managers and cross-functional teams (e.g., Marketing, R&D) to share insights and best practices.
Qualifications
* Minimum of 5 years of technical sales, applications engineering, or field service experience in a relevant industry (e.g., adhesives, sealants, coatings, electronics, or manufacturing).
* Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in customer-facing environments.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Experience with structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, root cause analysis) is a plus.
* Fluency in relevant regional languages is preferred.
* Collaborative mindset and ability to work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, R&D, and operations teams.
* Proficiency in and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Ability to travel 30–50% within the assigned region.
Education
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Materials Science, Industrial), Chemistry, or a related technical field.
