Market Risk Manager
This role involves leading a team of risk professionals to develop and implement risk management frameworks, strategies and methodologies that align with the organization's risk appetite.
1. Risk Management Frameworks: Develop and implement comprehensive risk management frameworks, including risk assessment methodologies, pricing models and metrics, to ensure effective identification, measurement, monitoring and reporting of risks across the organization.
2. Team Leadership: Provide strong leadership to the Market Risk, Credit Risk and Quantitative Risk teams, fostering a collaborative culture of continuous improvement, promoting professional development and knowledge sharing among team members and across the organization.
3. Data-Driven Decision Making: Foster a data-driven approach to business decision making, establishing a cross-functional data team to provide insights and recommendations on risk-related matters.
4. Risk Reporting: Coordinate materials for market committees and communicate risk profiles and recommended actions effectively to facilitate informed decision-making.
5. Risk Limit Monitoring: Monitor risk limits and triggers, taking appropriate actions to manage potential exposures.
Requirements:
* Wide experience in risk management in the energy or commodity industry, with ability to establish risk appetite and implement effective risk management frameworks.
* Deep understanding of trading and portfolio management, with an advocate mindset for active, value-creating risk management.
* Track record of leading and managing (risk management) teams, with ability to inspire and motivate team members.
* Talented communicator, with ability to effectively convey complex risk-related concepts to diverse stakeholders.
