Join us starting September 1st, 2026, in part-time (65%) as Doctoral student (m/f/d) Molecular Plant Physiology Phytochrome signal transduction in higher plants In accordance with § 2 WissZeitVG and § 72 HessHG, the position is to be filled on a fixed-term basis at the Institute of Plant Physiology at the faculty of Biology and Chemistry with the opportunity for own academic qualification. The salary is in accordance with the collective labour agreement of the State of Hessen (E 13 TV-H). As long as the maximum permissible duration of a fixed-term contract is not exceeded, you will be employed for an initial period of 3 years. An extension for up to another 2 years is possible under the above-mentioned condition. The research project focuses on the function of the plant red-light receptor phytochrome. Among other things, it aims to elucidate the regulation of the nuclear translocation of the activated photoreceptor phytochrome A in Arabidopsis thaliana using molecular biological, cell biological, biochemical, and biophysical/structural methods.
