Your Role
As a Sales Controller, you play a key role in driving commercial performance. You analyze sales results, support forecasting and budgeting, and act as a finance business partner to the Sales organization. Your insights help steer pricing, margins, and profitable growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Analyze sales performance across regions, customers, and product lines (revenue, volume, price, margin)
2. Own and support sales forecasting and budgeting in close cooperation with Sales Management
3. Monitor and analyze pricing, discounts, rebates, and margin development, identifying risks and opportunities
4. Prepare monthly sales performance reports including variance analyses versus budget, forecast, and prior year
5. Deliver actionable commercial insights to Sales, Finance, and Management to support decision‑making
6. Develop and continuously improve sales dashboards and KPIs in Power BI
7. Support sales‑related month‑end closing activities (e.g. revenue, accruals, provisions, bonuses)
8. Act as a finance business partner for Sales, supporting commercial initiatives and growth projects
9. Participate in cross‑functional projects with a strong commercial or sales focus
Your Profile
10. Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Controlling, or a comparable field
11. 2–4 years of professional experience in Sales Controlling, Commercial Finance, FP&A, or Business Analytics
12. Solid understanding of sales KPIs, pricing mechanisms, margin structures, and commercial drivers
13. Experience working closely with Sales or Commercial teams is a strong advantage
14. Very good knowledge of SAP FI/CO, strong skills in Power BI and Excel
15. Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate numbers into clear business recommendations
16. Proactive, communicative, and solution‑oriented working style
17. Very good command of German and English, written and spoken
