Let's connect: If you want to experience how things are done in the Group Finance and Accounting, Reinsurance Accounting team at our headquarters in Hannover / Germany, join us on a temporary basis for 12 months, commencing as soon as possible as a Reinsurance Accountant Property and Casualty Accounting .
You can look forward to
* Checking, processing and posting reinsurance statements of account including assuring completion
* Processing incoming and outgoing payments
* Initiating the creation of new bank details
* Claims processing including sanction screening and consultation with claims specialists
* Quarterly closing work
* Correspondence with internal interfaces and external customers
* Participation in working groups and projects
* Maintain quality and consistency of process standards and operational controls
You come equipped with
* Degree in business administration and/or comparable training
* Initial experience in accounting (e.g. from the areas of insurance, banking, taxes)
* Understanding of different accounting principles, e.g. HGB and IFRS
* Basic understanding of obligatory and facultative reinsurance contractual forms of advantage
* German and English at a conversational level, knowledge of Spanish desirable
* SAP skills of advantage
* Well-versed in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
* Strong understanding of financial interrelationships
* Independent and structured way of working with high quality standards
* Strong communication skills and enjoy working together and engaging in constructive dialogue in interdisciplinary teams
* Willingness and curiosity to familiarise yourself with new IT technologies and tools
