Regional Head of Business Development - Europe
Victrex plc, a global leader in advanced material solutions, is seeking a dynamic and visionary Regional Head of Business Development to drive our ambitious growth agenda across Europe.
What You’ll Do
* Lead and inspire a high-performing business development team (typically 5–10 strong) to deliver exceptional results.
* Develop and execute innovative strategies to achieve pipeline revenue growth of £20m–£100m, with direct responsibility for a functional budget of £1m–£2m.
* Collaborate globally with business development and industry leaders to translate cutting‑edge strategies into regional success stories.
* Identify and seize new business opportunities, expand our customer base, and drive proactive lead generation across and beyond Europe.
* Forge and nurture connections with key industry players, ensuring Victrex remains at the forefront of market innovation.
* Represent Victrex at major industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
What You’ll Bring
* A technical or business degree; MBA and professional memberships are a plus.
* Specific expertise in high‑performance plastic materials, ideally with knowledge of PEEK (Polyetheretherketone).
* Existing relationships with major companies across different industry segments are highly desirable. Prior experience working for a plastics manufacturer or with Tier 1 suppliers and OEM customers is strongly preferred.
* A proven track record of leading and coaching sales teams to success in competitive environments.
* Mastery of commercial excellence practices, key account management, territory planning, and account‑based marketing.
* A passion for data‑driven decision‑making, with the ability to analyse market trends and pipeline performance to drive strategic growth.
* Experience in cross‑selling, key account penetration, and regaining competitive ground.
