Job Responsibilities

1. Draft, review and negotiate various legal documents, contracts and agreements for all kinds of business operations, such as NDA, sales contract (including but not limited to dealer agreement and after-sales agreement), purchase agreement, cooperation agreement, memorandum; maintain and update contract templates/precedents from time to time to improve the contract management process constantly.
2. Participate in the qualification review of potential business partners, including but not limited to dealer qualification review, compliance review, etc.
3. Provide legal support on regulatory compliance issues, such as trade compliance, data protection (GDPR compliance is preferred), merger filing, international sanctions, anti-bribery, etc.
4. Provide human resources-related legal support, including but not limited to handling employee disputes and providing opinions on Mexican labor law.
5. Select, manage and supervise external lawyers, and ensure high-quality external legal support in an effective, efficient and cost-efficient manner.
6. Conduct legal analysis and provide legal advice on dispute resolution and/or quality claims, etc.
7. Work closely with operations/project teams to proactively support a wide range of transactions.
8. Undertake other legal responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

1. LLB or LLM degree from a reputable international law school or equivalent.
2. Admission to the local bar or equivalent qualification will be a plus.
3. Excellent oral and written English and German skills.
4. 3-7 years of post-qualification experience in corporate general practice and dispute resolution; preferred working experience in MNCs within the manufacturing or automotive industry.
5. Demonstrated excellent legal knowledge and business acumen to deliver detailed and results-oriented solutions; strong communication and negotiation skills when interacting with clients, colleagues and government officials.
6. Mature personality with a proactive attitude, high integrity and strong self-motivation; ability to work and make judgments efficiently and independently under pressure.
