About your Role
Based preferably in Frankfurt (Munich or Hamburg possible as well), your role is a mix of underwriting and client interaction – two highly fast paced areas that requires a very flexible approach. You will be working directly with clients and brokers.
Key responsibilities:
1. Underwriting for new and existing clients in accordance with internal processes and guidelines while keeping the focus on satisfying the client needs
2. Analyse and assess Property submissions in respect of exposure and coverages, prepare quotations, structure programs and offer proposals for lead or following business
3. Broker and client visits in order to build and foster relationships
4. Develop strategies to adapt position on current accounts and to cross-sell other lines of business in collaboration with sales
5. Build and maintain knowledge of German insurance market in respects of wording, insurance law and regulation as well as brokers and competitors
6. Mentoring and advising younger professionals or Junior Underwriters as the need arises
About You
7. High level of (Property) insurance knowledge: Versicherungskaufmann or -fachwirt, Technischer Underwriter, Bachelor Degree or equivalent
8. 7+ years of relevant experience in writing Property business for key accounts, large corporate customers, and mid corporate costumers
9. Excellent negotiation skills
10. Experience and understanding of NatCat and Man-Made risk management and loss prevention
11. Experience and understanding of Real Estate Markets
12. Demonstrated ability on working team-orientated, efficiently and under pressure
13. German native speaker with good English skills (written and spoken)
14. Regular business travels required
For Germany, the base salary range for this position is between EUR 95,000 and EUR 158,000 (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:
15. the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
16. the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.
