This role will be part of the RI Property & Casualty Tower for Group Technology, responsible for delivering business value by managing IT products and executing change projects for the RI P&C business. The Tower maintains key relationships with units involved in underwriting and claims management, and oversees IT products for Munich Re Trading Limited, which develops risk transfer solutions. Additionally, it collaborates closely with finance and digital innovation teams to combine services and data, supporting the expansion of business use cases.
The section IT Business Solutions RI P&C delivers business value through the management of IT products including execution of change projects. Our team owns the key relationships (representing all IT service functions) with business units of Munich Re which underwrite or support Non-Life Reinsurance globally, including claims management.
You will help to grow our global Exposure application landscape together with the business in a highly changing IT landscape. Responsibility for the definition, approach, facilitation & satisfactory completion of medium- or large-scale IT projects according to agile methodologies (Scrum/SAFe)
Acting as Agile Coach / Project Manager for an agile development team including coordination/handling of the project backlog
Accountability for creation of project charters and effort estimations within the scoping and budget approval process
Initialization of IT projects according to approved project charters and particularly manage the staffing of the project team
Transparent and consistent communication with the project stakeholders in Business and IT and achieving alignment with neighbouring projects
Accountability for project budget and reporting and delivery of project goals in time and budget
Identification, assessment and management of risks and issues to the success of the project
Several years of experience in IT project management, preferably in application development and hence in-depth knowledge of the processes of the entire software development and product life cycle
Demonstrable experience in agile project management methodologies like Scrum
Excellent communication skills, strong experience in the management of diverging interests of various stakeholders, ability to set priorities in a pragmatic and efficient way combined with profound cost consciousness
Experience with Azure DevOps (Boards, Backlogs, etc. ) Fluent command of German (nice to have) and Business English
