Materials Engineer Job Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Materials Engineer to support the design and manufacturing of electrification modules.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to select and validate materials for electrification components,
* Work closely with suppliers to communicate technical requirements and resolve material-related issues,
* Support the validation of new materials through lab testing and performance evaluation,
* Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving activities related to material failures,
* Develop and maintain material specifications and design rules,
* Ensure environmental compliance in material selection and usage,
* Coordinate failure analysis lab activities and manage reporting timelines,
* Present technical findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders and customers,
* Operate autonomously while managing priorities effectively
Qualifications & Skills:
* Bachelor's or Master's in Materials Engineering, Metallurgy, or Polymer Science preferred,
* Optional: Master's in any related Engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing) with experience and interest in material properties)
* 3 – 5 years of experience in a Materials Engineering development, selection, and/or analysis
* General knowledge of the mechanics of materials
* Familiarity with analytical tools such as SEM, FTIR, DSC, TGA, Thermal Analysis, and Mechanical analysis
* Experience in material testing, specification writing, and supplier interaction
* Ability to work collaboratively and communicate technical concepts clearly
* Familiarity with electrification systems and high-voltage components is a plus
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
