Based in Cologne, you will play a key role in supporting our Sales Service Engineers within the Region, working closely under the direction of the Business Line Manager Aftermarket Europe & Central Asia.
Your mission is to ensure smooth back-office operations, reliable order processing, and excellent customer support across the aftermarket business, contributing directly to customer satisfaction and business success.
Your day-to-day tasks:
1. Administration of all inbound and outbound order processes
2. Sales and customer support via phone and email
3. End-to-end order handling, including tracking and follow-up
4. Preparation of standard/service quotations
5. Proactive follow-up on ongoing requests and order statuses
6. Clarification of technical questions in close cooperation with internal stakeholders
7. Data administration and maintenance in relevant systems
8. Close collaboration with Sales Service Engineers and aftermarket departments
9. Implementation, review, and optimization of internal processes
10. Ensuring that customer commitments are met and that customers are informed in a timely manner
11. Reporting and analytical tasks to support business transparency and decision-making
To succeed, you will need
12. Technical degree with proven commercial experience, or alternatively a degree in a commercial discipline, business administration, with proven technical experience
13. Substantial experience in a back-office or internal sales support environment, ideally in order handling within the Gas and Process market
14. Good understanding of technical contexts
15. Strong sales awareness combined with a high level of customer orientation
16. Fluency in both English and German; additional language skills are an advantage
17. Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, high-pressure environment
18. Creative and solution-oriented mindset with a willingness to think “out of the box”
19. Very good communication and organizational skills
20. Team-oriented mindset with a strong willingness to collaborate across departments
21. Confident user of MS Office; experience with SAP, CRM software, and Adobe is a plus

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at Atlas Copco Energas in Köln, Germany (DE).
