Location: Flexible (Remote)
Position: Freelance Web Developer – UI/UX, Discourse, Accessibility & Multilingual focus
Focus: Developing and optimizing our Discourse-based community platform and custom landing pages to ensure accessibility, multilingual usability, and a seamless experience for our global user base.
Your Role:
* Landing Pages Development: Finalize and optimize custom landing pages per language community using custom components, including automated language forwarding, accessible homepage structures, and personalized content for logged-in users.
* Global Community Access: Develop a central, English-language EnableMe landing page with multilingual entry points and global community statistics.
* Accessibility & Language Improvements: Ensure full compliance with accessibility standards (WCAG), including screenreader compatibility, RTL language support, and consistent multilingual navigation.
* Collaborate and Improve User Experience: Work closely with the team to implement structural and design improvements that enhance navigation, accessibility, and usability. Focus on intuitive UI structures, clear community organization, consistent multilingual interfaces, and an accessible, user-friendly experience for all members.

* Platform: Discourse
* Frontend: HTML, CSS, JavaScript
* Version Control: GitLab (optional)
* Accessibility Standards: WCAG, ARIA
* Languages: Multilingual setup including RTL languages
What Will You Neet to Have:
* Proven experience in Discourse customization and troubleshooting
* Familiarity with Pavilion Landing Pages and Discourse theme components
* Strong frontend development skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript basics)
* Experience with user-centred community platforms (Discourse)
* Solid knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG, ARIA)
* Experience with multilingual and RTL website structures
* Structured, independent, and solution-oriented work approach
* Fluent in English (German or French is a plus)

* Duration: Estimated 4–6 weeks part-time, option for further collaboration
