Bueroang. (Fahrzeugeinsatz) Wiesbaden, Germany Ausschreibungsbereich Who may apply? Current INTERNAL Local National Employees throughout Germany. This covers all current Local National employees of the U.S. Forces in Germany, including U.S. Air Force and AAFES-Europe within Germany and EXTERNAL Local National Applicants, who reside in Germany. Hauptaufgaben Daily dispatches a considerable number of different types of motor vehicles to requesting users on basis of verbal or written requests. Approves or disapproves requests considering such aspects as authorization of requestor to receive services from this motor pool, availability of drivers and vehicles, distance and purpose of trip. Determines priorities of requests, and tries to combine trips especially for long distances. Prepares Motor Vehicle Utilization Records using various system. Maintains daily and weekly/bi-weekly dispatch records for different units showing number and type of assigned vehicles. Enters data and maintains vehicle utilization database covering such data as miles driven and day's utilized using agency etc. In close coordination with the Motor Vehicle Operator Truck Master assigns drivers to vehicles and distributes trip tickets. Checks civilian and Government driver's licenses and ensures drivers are qualified for the class of vehicle to be operated. Checks returned trip tickets for propriety and completeness of entries to detect unauthorized use of vehicles and to maintain proper traceability. Initiates action to replace vehicles reported defective and details vehicles for maintenance according to preventive maintenance schedule. Performs checks for damage, cleanliness and roadworthiness on assigned vehicles upon re-dispatch or turn-in. Processes traffic tickets and answers inquiries about traffic violations and accident investigations to the local Provost Marshalls Office. Verifies customers Government Motor Vehicle Operator's Identification Cards (OF 346), and Equipment Operator's Qualification Record (DA 348) to ensure all civilian driver's license, training and physical requirements are met. Briefs prospective vehicle operators on their responsibilities in relation to Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) and on the official use of GOVs. Tracks, documents and reports reimbursable services to the TMP Admin Section. Independently initiates any required action to improve the overall condition of the assigned fleet in relation to appearance and technical standard of the assigned vehicles as well as taking action on unsafe behavior of vehicle operators in order to improve customer service and to foster the safety standard. Monitors the compliance to dispatch schedule and initiates corrective action on delays. Issues fuel credit cards on hand receipt and sends a reminder to the responsible unit transportation coordinator if the credit card is not returned on time. As required prepares statistical computation. May operate radio to dispatch vehicle so equipped. Performs a variety of duties in support of the administrative operation of the TMP in a general office setting. Such duties include preparation of reports, correspondence, and maintenance of a variety of files, regulations, graphs and records. Utilizes a knowledge of format, forms, typing policies, and common terminology of the organization to provide typing support. Records data on fleet vehicles, such as damage and repair costs, and maintenance schedules. Utilizing a knowledge of appropriate regulations, official guidance and Policies pertaining to damage of government owned or leased vehicles, completes accident reports on non-tactical vehicles insuring appropriate forms are completed IAW regulations. Obtains, compiles, and processes statistical data in accordance with instructions and standard procedures. Uses ability to seek guidance from regulations, operating procedures and policies to make determination on proper forms to complete. Maintains a variety of files, regulations, graphs and records to support statistical data. Based on knowledge of the organization, routes, coordinates, and distributes data output, reports, forms, mail, etc. Receives visitors and telephone calls and refers to appropriate sources or furnishes information requested. Performance of duties requires skill in operation of a computer terminal with a standard typewriter style keyboard and special function keys, to include related equipment (e.g. printers, scanner) to produce textual materials and enter, revise and retrieve data. Incumbent will be required to operate non-tactical vehicles allowed to operate with German drivers license class B in case of shortages in the TMP driver pool. Therefore requires to maintain applicable Host Nations driver's licenses. Performs other duties as assigned. Current employees who do not meet E&T Level I and who are not in the same or similar occupation must have 2 additional years of creditable experience as described in A below. E&T Level II: 1 year of creditable experience as defined in A below PLUS 1 year of experience as defined in B below. E&T Level III and above: No additional experience required. Current employees who have served one year in the same or similar occupation are qualified for the next higher grade. Experience A: Included clerical work in an office or store, working with computers, bookkeeping, making and recording inventories, telephone marketing, arranging for events or as a cashier, etc. Experience B: Experience in the same or similar line of work as the job for which considered. The experience must demonstrate that the applicant possesses the particular knowledge, skills and abilities required in the position. The predominant experience must have been gained at a comparable level of difficulty to the position to be filled. * Applicant must be in the possession of a valid driver's license class B and must be able to obtain/maintain a military motor vehicle operator's license. * Office automation skills required. LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY LEVEL: English AND German Language Proficiency Level C1 required.
