My client is hiring a Linux System Engineer to support and scale modern infrastructure systems in a high-performance, international team. You'll combine hands-on Linux system administration with cutting-edge DevOps practices, helping to build and automate a robust and secure environment for our applications and services.
This is a hybrid role based in Leipzig, Germany, with a strong focus on ownership, collaboration, and long-term impact.
TasksWhat You'll Do
* Manage and develop server infrastructure (physical servers & ESXi)
* Maintain and expand monitoring systems (Prometheus, Grafana)
* Configure and administer databases (primarily MySQL)
* Develop and maintain self-hosted Kubernetes clusters
* Automate recurring processes using Ansible and scripting
* Support developers through DevOps/SRE practices
* Collaborate with the security team to implement protective measures
ProfileWhat We're Looking For
* Degree or equivalent training in Computer Science or related field
* Deep experience with Linux
* Proficiency in Docker, networking, and monitoring tools
* MySQL database administration experience
* Experience with automation/configuration tools (e.g., Ansible)
* Solid scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python)
