For our Digital Transformation department at Plochingen we are looking for a
Senior Data Engineer (f/m/d)
Your Responsibilities:
* You are responsible for building, operating, and optimizing scalable data pipelines — from on‑premises systems to modern cloud environments based on Microsoft Azure and Databricks
* You develop and operate infrastructure-as-code solutions and implement dbt-based transformations
* You ensure security and compliance requirements are met and optimize pipelines in terms of performance, resource consumption, and cost
* Through close collaboration with production, IT, and business departments, you create a robust data platform that enables analytics, automation, and AI use cases in an industrial environment
Your Profile:
* You have a completed degree in business administration, (business) informatics, (industrial) engineering, digital business management, data science or a comparable field of study
* Ideally, you also hold certifications such as Azure Data Engineer, Azure Architect, Databricks Certified Data Engineer / Architect, or Terraform Associatet
* You have several years of work experience as a Data Engineer in an industrial environment and possess in-depth knowledge of Databricks and Microsoft Azure
* You are a team player with strong communication skills and enjoy contributing your expertise to cross-functional collaboration
