- *Team Setup:** The DevOps Engineer will work cohesively with cross-functional teams, including IT Service Management (ITSM), development, and operations teams, to ensure seamless integration and delivery of services.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior DevOps Engineer will be responsible for the following tasks: Manage Change, Incident, Problem, Deployment, and Release processes in accordance with established protocols. Define, implement, and maintain the EIB release and deployment processes to ensure streamlined operations. Act as a coordinator within IT Service Management (ITSM) processes, facilitating communication across teams. Package and document releases in line with EIB policies to ensure clarity and compliance. Provide day-to-day operational support activities, ensuring effective management of system performance. Take ownership of requests and incidents, serving as the Single Point of Contact for IT users and GIS/BTS departments where applicable. Monitor, follow up, and ensure the resolution of issues within agreed timelines. Identify opportunities for improvement and automation of processes to enhance efficiency. Produce, review, and maintain operational documentation to support ongoing activities and knowledge transfer. Support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations to mitigate future incidents. Configure and maintain applications and tools across all technical layers to ensure robust and reliable service delivery. Utilize DevOps tools to support Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes, facilitating agile development methodologies.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum 7 years of experience in the role.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
The consultant must demonstrate knowledge and competence in the following areas: DevOps methodologies and release management practices. ITIL best practices related to incident and release management. Experience with enterprise databases such as Sybase ASE and Oracle. Proficient in scripting and programming languages including Bash, Groovy, Python, and Java or equivalent. Familiarity with web and middleware technologies, such as Tomcat, Nginx, Apache, and JBoss EAP. Expertise in version control systems and the DevOps ecosystem, including GitHub (including Copilot) and Azure DevOps. Proficiency with enterprise platforms and tools, including Jenkins, Nexus, SonarQube, Jira (DC/Cloud), Matomo, and Codescene. Ability to manage enterprise platforms in on-premise environments effectively. Continuous improvement and automation of operational processes to enhance service delivery. Strong skills in release planning, coordination, and execution. Competence in incident handling, analysis, and ownership of resolutions. Ability to perform risk and impact assessments. Strong capabilities in system, application, and architecture troubleshooting. Experience with performance monitoring and debugging in both Linux and Windows environments. Familiarity with database and middleware operations, particularly with Oracle, Sybase, and JBoss. Effective use of DevOps toolchains to support CI/CD delivery.
