Our Central Service Region oversees the operation and maintenance of nearly 5,000 wind turbines across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Hungary. With a skilled team of around 1,000 service technicians and 300 office-based professionals, we’re committed to delivering excellence in renewable energy.
The Service Operations Support (SOS) department is the backbone of our regional operations, ensuring seamless collaboration across procurement, outsourcing, training, and business support by
* being the interface towards Procurement and suppliers for the work packages we outsource
* manage the operational outsourcing (ordering, scheduling, administration, quality assurance, etc.) management of Vestas technician teams which temporarily support from outside the own region
* business support to ensure an efficient execution of administrative tasks
* training coordination for the technicians for the whole Service region Central and
* acting as the interface to the Vestas training academy
Your Role as the (Senior) Manager Service Operations Support, you will:
* Lead a team of ~9 direct reports and ~90 employees across multiple functions
* Oversee all subcontracting activities, ensuring budget adherence and operational excellence
* Act as the primary liaison for external service providers, suppliers, and training partners
* Ensure quality assurance, scheduling, and administration for outsourced work packages
* Coordinate technician training across the region in partnership with the Vestas Training Academy
* Serve as the escalation point for procurement, finance, and workwear-related matters

Qualifications
* Extensive experience managing complex, cross-functional operations
* Commercial or technical degree
* Skilled leadership background with a track record of team development
* Experience in change management and continuous process improvement
* Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
