Job Description
We are on the lookout for a Senior Engineer, Golang to join the Configuration and Secrets Management team in Tech Foundations vertical on our journey to always deliver amazing experiences.
As a member of the Tech Foundation Vertical, you’ll support Delivery Hero’s rapid innovation and growth. You’ll work on foundational systems that enable faster feature development, security, and reliability across our global engineering community. Every enhancement you make will contribute to our team's ability to build, scale, and deliver quality features, ultimately impacting millions of users worldwide.
In this role, you will:
1. Work closely with the rest of the Developer Productivity group, which consists of: Release Engineering, Artifact Management and App Registry, and Configuration and Secrets Management squads. Our customers are all engineers at Delivery Hero and are from all over the world.
2. Design and develop the global Configuration Management Platform, following the API design best practices.
3. Integrate our Secrets Management Platform and Configuration Management Platform with the rest of the Developer Platform.
4. Provide solutions that will be used by thousands of developers and will get hundreds of thousands of requests per minute. The scale of the solutions we provide and our commitment to providing the best reliability and scalability make the position interesting and unique.
5. Ensure the availability of our services by collaborating with the rest of the team and taking on-call responsibilities.
6. Bring value to the organization by increasing developer satisfaction and developer productivity by providing the best possible developer experience to the rest of the organization.
Qualifications
7. Hands-on experience in designing APIs and developing them using Go.
8. Developing Kubernetes operators using Go that handle mission-critical operations between our APIs and Kubernetes clusters.
9. Auto-didactic: We learn constantly. The problem area we focus on is niche, and we don’t shy away from going the extra mile to learn about topics we aren’t familiar with.
10. Detail-oriented: We keep the quality high. We don’t ship features that we aren’t confident in. Our definition involves: writing customer documentation, adding automated end-to-end tests for infrastructure components, and evaluating risks & proposing ways to eliminate them to the team. Scrappy solutions or habits have no place on this team.
11. Product-minded: Our job isn’t done when a service is deployed; instead, it’s just getting started. Making infrastructure components deployed, up, and running is only the first step of what we want to achieve. This role requires iteratively understanding customer needs, showing empathy, and being product-minded.
