Two brands, one workplace full of event energy: At the Sheraton & Marriott Frankfurt Airport Hotel, we bring hundreds of events to life each year – from exclusive business meetings to large-scale international functions. If you love events, enjoy fast-paced environments, and want to lead a high-performing team, then step into the role of Banquet Manager (m/f/d).

Your key responsibilities include:

7. Own end-to-end banquet & event operations across all function spaces - including set-up/strike per standards, flawless BEO execution, and hands-on presence during service
8. Guest satisfaction & host leadership: Primary on-site contact for planners; proactively collect feedback, resolve complaints with thorough follow-up; drive continuous service improvement
9. Financials & planning: Build shift plans based on forecast and standards; control all banquet costs (beverage, labor, equipment, externals), ensure asset protection and reporting
10. Quality, hygiene & safety: Ensure cleanliness, HACCP/HS compliance, and adherence to legal requirements; maintain equipment and inventories
11. Lead & develop the team: Manage both the Banquet department and our Banquet Reception (Meeting Concierge team) - approx. 18 team members in total; set goals, run briefings & monthly meetings; onboard, train, coach, and manage performance
12. Cross-functional coordination: Work closely with Culinary, Stewarding, Technik, Housekeeping, Front Office, and 3rd-party event partners; participate in pre-/post-cons
13. Administrative excellence: Maintain daily reports and KPIs; conduct development interviews; standardize workflows and implement continuous process improvements

Be able.

14. Completed vocational training/degree in hospitality/events and several years’ experience ideally with leadership responsibility in banquet or event management.
15. In-depth OPERA knowledge (crucial); proficient with MS Office and relevant event/POS systems
16. Proven experience delivering large-scale events (800+ pax)
17. Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills - even under pressure
18. Solid knowledge of banquet & service standards, room/table setups, food & wine pairings, and upselling
19. Excellent communication skills in German and English; polished, professional demeanour
20. Highly organized, detail-oriented, resilient, and flexible (evenings, weekends, holidays); comfortable with extended standing/walking and light lifting
