The Institute for Medical and Pharmaceutical Examination Questions (IMPP) is responsible for developing the content of key components of the nationwide state examinations for medical, pharmaceutical, and dental programs, as well as for psychotherapy training, in close cooperation with expert committees. The Examination and Information Technology Department is seeking, as soon as possible, a Head of the Examinations Division (m/f/d) Your responsibilities: As Head of the Examinations Division (m/f/d), you will bear strategic and operational responsibility for a core area of the Institute: Examination management: Legally compliant planning, implementation (in collaboration with state examination offices), and evaluation of nationwide state examinations. Disciplinary and operational personnel responsibility for the department IT requirements management: Technical further development of administrative systems; creation of technical concepts and coordination with IT development. Steering the technical modernization of the examination landscape (including the design and evaluation of new analog and digital examination formats, development of practical implementation and feasibility assessments, translation of innovative methods into practice, and evaluations) Process design: Analysis and optimization of existing technical processes in examination administration. Quality assurance: Overseeing the technical organization of exams, printing and logistics processes, and error-free grading. Stakeholder management: Serving as the central point of contact for internal departments and external partners (e.g., state examination offices). Your Profile: Degree: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Linguistic Data Processing, or a comparable field of study with relevant professional experience Work Style: Analytical and structured ability to quickly familiarize yourself with complex, strategic topics. Leadership: Substantial experience leading small to medium-sized teams. Project Management: Substantial and practical experience in the field of project management IT Proficiency: Strong understanding of digital topics and the ability to act as a "translator" between business departments and IT. Organization & Communication: Confident demeanor, ability to handle high-pressure situations, and solution-oriented communication of complex issues. Fluent verbal and written communication skills in German (at least CEFR Level C1) Ideally, you have: Further training in leadership, conflict management, or coaching. Professional experience in the administration of nationwide state examinations or comparable large-scale examinations Basic understanding of the use of AI. Knowledge of methods in project, process, or quality management. Experience in the public sector or higher education.
