Job Purpose
The Head of Revenue - Germany is responsible for leading and optimising revenue performance across all properties within Germany. This senior leadership role executes the revenue strategy at a country level while tailoring initiatives to local market dynamics. The role partners closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and senior stakeholders to maximise profitability and sustainable growth.
Key Deliverables
Scope of Responsibility
* Lead and drive revenue performance across all German properties, ensuring delivery of revenue KPIs and profitability targets.
* Implement and localise the European revenue strategy in alignment with country‑specific market conditions.
* Act as the primary revenue partner for General Managers, owners, and country leadership, in coordination with the Head of Revenue - Europe.
Data Analysis & Market Intelligence
* Monitor national and regional market trends, demand patterns, and competitor strategies within Germany.
* Oversee key performance indicators, including RevPAR, ADR, occupancy, market share, and total revenue contribution.
Revenue, Pricing & Distribution Strategy
* Govern dynamic pricing strategies across all segments in line with European revenue guidelines.
* Optimise distribution channel mix at a country level, balancing volume, profitability, and cost of acquisition.
Forecasting & Financial Planning
* Lead demand forecasting using historical data, RMS insights, and market intelligence.
* Support annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long‑term planning in collaboration with the European revenue team.
Cross‑Functional Leadership
* Align revenue strategies with Sales and Marketing initiatives.
* Partner with Operations to ensure inventory management, service delivery, and operational decisions support revenue objectives.
Team Leadership & Capability Development
* Lead, coach, and develop property‑level revenue teams across Germany.
* Drive consistency, standards, and best practices aligned with European revenue frameworks.
* Promote continuous learning and awareness of industry trends, tools, and innovations.
Revenue Management Systems (RMS)
* Ensure effective and consistent use of RMS tools across all German properties.
* Translate system‑generated insights into commercially impactful actions.
Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
* Leverage CRM data to understand customer behaviour, segmentation, and booking patterns.
* Support targeted promotions and personalised offers aligned with European CRM strategy.
Performance Reviews
* Conduct regular country‑level performance reviews and present outcomes to the Head of Revenue - Europe.
* Proactively recommend and implement strategy adjustments based on performance and market shifts.
Reporting & Communication
* Deliver clear, timely, and insightful revenue reports in line with reporting standards.
* Provide actionable insights, risks, and opportunities to regional leadership.
Stakeholder Engagement
* Build strong working relationships with General Managers, owners, country leadership, and European commercial teams.
* Manage relationships with key distribution partners, technology providers, and industry networks in Germany.
Preferred Experience
* Proven senior revenue leadership experience across multiple properties in Berlin and Munich markets.
* Strong expertise in strategic revenue management, pricing, forecasting, and distribution optimisation.
* Advanced commercial and analytical skills with a track record of driving RevPAR, ADR, and market share growth.
* Knowledge of Marriott systems, including MARSHA, One Yield and Marriott distribution platforms.
* High proficiency in data‑driven decision‑making, leveraging RMS, CRM, and performance reporting tools.
* Strong understanding of Marriott revenue governance, brand standards, and loyalty ecosystem (Marriott Bonvoy).
* Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience working with GMs, owners, and regional leadership.
* Strong collaboration skills across Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance.
