Stellenbeschreibung
Primary Function of Position:
The Senior Accountant is a member of the Finance and FP&A department responsible for three production sites in Germany and Bulgaria. The position holder is responsible for all aspects of financial accounting and key accounting processes. Position involves approximately 30 % payroll related responsibilities.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Preparation of monthly reporting according to HGB / US-GAAP
2. Balance sheet reconciliations
3. Maintain General Ledger in accordance with Intuitive guidelines and accounting manual
4. Monitoring and Settlement of IC Transactions
5. Maintenance of Fixed Asset Subledger
6. Preparation and filing of monthly VAT reporting
7. Liaison with external advisors and statutory auditors
8. Close collaboration with central accounting functions in Switzerland & USA
9. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and automation within our current accounting processes
10. Support of the monthly payroll cycle - from data collection to final approval, ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee changes
11. Ensure annual declarations are filled timely and accurately
12. Processing of the insurances & pension registrations and the daily declarations related to sickness, accident and other absences
13. Employee Business Partner for inquiries related to absences, insurances, benefits and pension
Qualifikationen
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
14. Completed commercial education, ideally as accountant or academic degree with financial and accounting focus
15. 5+ years professional experience in accounting within multinational work environment
16. HGB knowledge required and knowledge in US-GAAP of advantage
17. Strong communication skills, fluent in German and English
18. Excellent expertise in MS Office and SAP FI
19. Experience in Datev Lohn und Gehalt as a plus
20. Strong analytical skills and numerical affinity
21. Ability to work independently and across teams whilst keeping open communication with key stakeholders
22. Highly customer-focused approach and developed analytical skills with positive “can-do” attitude
