We are seeking highly qualified candidates for the position of EU Director, Site Contracts and Budget Management, Financial Operations (f/m/x). This role can be based in Germany, France, Spain, or Italy. It is a key leadership position within Global Clinical Operations, serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for clinical site budget delivery and administration. The role involves supporting global study delivery through strategic input, process optimization, and stakeholder coordination, especially focusing on study start-up and cross-functional initiatives.
* Provide expertise and guidance to optimize Study Delivery
* Develop strategies and processes for the site budget process
* Maintain relationships with GCO functions and external stakeholders
* Collaborate with Legal and Compliance on study-specific issues
* Improve process flows, roles, responsibilities, and templates
* Support timely and compliant site budget development and negotiations
* Ensure quality and governance in site budget delivery
* Support the SCBM Financial Operations team at asset and study levels
* Manage personnel, resources, and workflows
* Implement quality oversight plans
* Develop site contracting and budget models for emerging markets
* Monitor CRO performance and establish escalation frameworks
* Recruit and manage staff or contractors
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree required; Master's preferred
* Equivalent education, training, and experience acceptable
Professional Experience:
* At least 9-10 years in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry
* Proven success in cross-functional global organizations
* 7-8 years supporting or managing global processes
* Experience in Clinical Operations, with knowledge of FMV, GCP, ICH standards, FDA/EMA guidelines
* Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, decision-making, communication, and presentation skills
* Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
