Your Role As Control Systems Manager (m/f/d), you will play a pivotal role in leading and advancing Heaten’s industrial automation systems and digital solutions. Your key responsibilities include: Taking full responsibility for the design and development of Heaten’s industrial automation systems, including direct, hands-on involvement in software development when necessary. Recruiting and leading a team of highly skilled control system professionals, such as programmers, electrical engineers, and technicians. Proposing, planning, and coordinating the technological roadmap for Heaten’s industrial automation systems and digital solutions including product enhacements leveraging AI and data analytics in close collaboration with the CTO. Ensuring the selection of optimal control system equipment and tools to meet project and operational needs. Coordinating cross-functional collaboration between departments such as process design, mechanical design, and digitalization to ensure software development aligns with specifications and requirements. Your Profile: Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage a diverse team. A technical degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Diploma) in a relevant field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the field, including management experience. Hands-on experience in test applications, installation, and commissioning. Solid expertise in designing and operating real-time control systems. Extensive hands-on experience with the development of electrical systems, instrumentation, and complex industrial automation software. Familiarity with traditional automation systems such as Siemens S7 is a plus. Proficient in modern PLC programming languages and development tools (e.g., CoDeSys). Skilled in at least one high-level programming language, such as C# or C++. Experience working in international environments. Fluency in English, with German proficiency being a strong advantage. A passion for managing and collaborating with a team of individuals from diverse professional backgrounds.
