Our team…
The Advanced Design group leads the conceptual studies and preliminary design of all new products at Bombardier. The team is also heavily involved in research projects covering various new technologies that will shape the future of aerospace.
During your internship, you will contribute to:
9. Help develop and validate various software tools developed with the Advanced Design department
10. Develop conceptual design tool
11. Participate in the Multidisciplinary Optimization tools development
12. Benchmark disciplinary environment with state-of-the-art research
13. Participate in feasibility and trade studies of new aircraft design software
During your internship, you will learn:
14. The importance of multidisciplinary design optimization tools in the design of new products
15. To use different programming languages and development environments
16. How to participate in the early phases of the development of new aircraft concepts
17. To work as a cohesive team with experts from different technical disciplines
What we are looking for:
18. You are currently enrolled in a university level aerospace engineering program or equivalent (e.g. mechanical engineering, computer engineering, computer sciences, etc.)
19. You have completed at least two years of the program
20. You show a keen interest in aerospace in general and aircraft design in particular
21. You show a keen interest for software development, with a good knowledge of the Python programming language. Familiarity with dash is an asset;
22. You are familiar with other programming languages (C/C++, Matlab, Fortran)
23. You are motivated, curious and independent
24. You are familiar and comfortable with Microsoft Office
The base salary for this position is expected to range from CAD $17.75 to CAD $31.00 per hour. The applicable base salary will be determined based on various criteria, at Bombardier’s sole discretion, such as the candidate’s skills, experience and qualifications.
