Your tasks
* Conduct original research on the project, including experimental design, data collection and analysis, in both independent and collaborative manner
* Characterize blood samples from both patients and controls
* Apply research techniques in the field of Immunology and Neuroscience such as cell culture, flow cytometry, immunoassays, quantitative PCR and microscopy
* Investigate the potential use of experimental models of Parkinson's disease
* Participate in different method and soft-skill courses offered by the PhD programs of the University
* Present your progress in regular lab meetings, thesis advisory committee meetings, scientific meetings and research conferences
* Supervise and support bachelor's and master's students, thereby acquiring teaching and mentoring skills
Your qualifications
* Master-s degree (or equivalent) in Biomedical Sciences, Biology, Natural Sciences, or a related field
* Strong interest and profound scientific background in Immunology/Molecular Biology/Neuroscience
* Excellent communication skills in English and ability to work in a team

* Fixed termed position for 3 years, salary in accordance to the German Public Sector Collective Agreement TV-L
