Global Inventory Management Process Manager (m/f/d)

At its locations in Böblingen we are searching for a Global Inventory Management Process Manager (m/f/d).

Your key tasks:
This role plays a key part in optimizing working capital, ensuring product availability, and establishing scalable inventory governance structures.
Your Responsibilities:
* Design, implement, and continuously improve the end-to-end inventory management framework covering Raw Materials, WIP, and Finished Goods
* Drive the balance between service level optimization and reduction of excess & obsolete (E&O) inventory
* Ensure inventory processes are scalable and aligned with business growth and strategic objectives
* Develop and refine buffer and safety stock strategies in close alignment with cross-functional stakeholders, considering risks and opportunities
* Collaborate with digital transformation and process excellence teams to enhance supporting systems and tools
* Define, document, and govern inventory management policies, standards, and procedures
* Establish and monitor KPIs to measure inventory performance (e.g., inventory turns, DOS, E&O, working capital impact)
* Analyze inventory data and provide actionable insights to senior leadership
* Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory standards
* Lead inventory-related improvement initiatives and drive cross-functional alignment across Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, and Commercial teams
Your Profile:
* Solid professional experience in Supply Chain Operations and/or Inventory Management, ideally within a complex, international organization
* Strong analytical capabilities combined with sound financial understanding of inventory and working capital dynamics
* Proven experience in designing and implementing inventory management processes
* Hands-on experience as a key user of ERP/WMS or inventory planning tools (e.g., Oracle, SAP EWM, or comparable systems)
* Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional communication skills
* Certifications such as CSCP, CPSM, or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt are welcome
* Ideally Background in process transformation or change management initiatives
* Experience with inventory cost simulation and scenario modeling tools is nice to have
* Demonstrated leadership and decision-making capability
* Willingness to travel max. three times per year to Asia
* Fluent English communication skills
