Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled
FPGA Engineer
to join the engineering team in Schongau, Germany. In this role, you will design, implement, and verify FPGA architectures for image and video acquisition systems. You'll be working with leading platforms such as
Intel/Altera
and
Xilinx
, and will play a critical role in developing next-generation acquisition technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, implement, and optimize FPGA architectures for image/video acquisition systems.
* Develop and verify code in
VHDL and Verilog
.
* Use industry-standard simulation and verification tools such as
Modelsim
.
* Work with FPGA toolchains from
Intel/Altera and Xilinx
.
* Collaborate closely with hardware and software teams to integrate FPGA designs into larger system architectures.
* Conduct testing, debugging, and performance optimization of FPGA-based solutions.
* Document design processes and contribute to continuous improvement in engineering workflows.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
* Strong professional experience in
FPGA development
.
* Proficiency with
VHDL, Verilog
, and simulation/verification tools (e.g., Modelsim).
* Experience with FPGA development platforms (Altera/Intel, Xilinx).
* Solid understanding of digital signal processing (DSP) concepts and real-time data acquisition is a plus.
* Fluent in
German
and
English
(written and spoken).
* Strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
Additional Information:
* Candidates must have the
right to work in Germany/Europe
(no visa sponsorship available).
* Relocation to the Schongau area is welcomed and supported, but not mandatory if already locally based.
Salary & Benefits:

€45,000 – €90,000
(depending on experience).
