About the Position
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced financial professional to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with expertise in digitalisation and process optimisation. They will be responsible for contributing to the enhancement and automation of payment processes and supporting the development of our international financial platform.
Key Responsibilities
* Digitalisation & Process Optimisation: Contribute to the enhancement and automation of payment processes and support the development of our international financial platform.
* Accounting & Bookkeeping: Handle account assignment, invoice verification, and posting of incoming invoices. Manage day-to-day financial transactions across accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank/cash transactions using SAGE. Prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
* Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial statements and internal reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
* Compliance & Audit Readiness: Prepare VAT returns and collaborate with our finance team to ensure audit readiness and compliance with relevant regulations.
* Payments & Financial Controlling: Oversee payment transactions, generate statistical reports, perform account reconciliations and clarifications, and support controlling processes.
* Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts, ensuring alignment with business goals.
* Performance Monitoring & Analysis: Track monthly performance versus budget, conduct variance analysis, and provide insights on trends, risks, and opportunities to support strategic decision-making.
* Stakeholder Communication: Maintain close collaboration with external financial service providers and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Completed training in finance, accounting, or a comparable qualification.
* Proven professional experience in accounting; familiarity with SAGE is highly advantageous.
* Strong IT affinity and confident in using Microsoft Office applications.
* Excellent numerical skills, with a structured, detail-oriented, and proactive approach to work.
* Collaborative team player with strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Fluent in German and English, both spoken and written.
