Your expertise will be crucial in developing robust, scalable, and cost-effective solutions, ensuring Helsing's technological superiority and upholding our mission to safeguard democratic values.The day-to-dayLead the mechanical design of current and future complex drone products, including the creation of complete 3D and 2D documents for parts and assembliesEnsure optimal integration of mechanical and electronic components using ECAD/MCAD tool capabilitiesDevelop and implement relevant workflows to ensure traceability throughout the full product lifecycleAssess, cascade and define design requirements on all product levels and take care of full traceability throughout the V&V processPerform risk assessments as well as initiate and lead mitigation activitiesTake care of all design safety aspects and deliver comprehensive assessments (e.g. DFMEA, FHA)Ensure application of relevant standards for the design definition, materials, manufacturing and drawing generationEnsure design effectiveness regarding costs, scalability and robustnessCreate comprehensive design documentation and guidelinesStrictly adhere to industry and quality standardsYou should apply if youHave professional working experience in the field of mechanical design of aerospace structures or similar applicationsPossess expert hands-on experience in using 3D/2D CAD and PLM tools, preferably with Solidworks/PDM or Siemens NX/Teamcenter; ECAD/MCAD knowledge appreciatedHave strong knowledge of ASME/ISO drawing standards, mechanical design standards and analysis capabilities for mechanical elementsHave experience in working with requirement management tools (a plus)Can prove ability to act as an interface to key customers, including managing technical assessments and negotiationsCommunicate excellently in English, both written and verbalAre keen on fast-track developments and realisationsEnjoy working in a highly flexible environmentNote: We operate in an industry where women, as well as other minority groups, are systematically under-represented.
