Responsibilities
1. Design and implementation of integration architectures for AI services in insurance environments
2. Establishment of stable interfaces between AI components and core systems ( claims, CRM)
3. Orchestration of end-to-end workflows including error handling and human-in-the-loop
4. Development and operation of APIs and use of event-driven integration patterns ( pub/sub)
5. Ensuring API governance (versioning, SLAs, rate limiting, etc.)
6. Integration of document processes and development of AI pipelines including RAG and agentic AI
7. Implementation of quality controls such as validation, thresholds and approval workflows
8. Implementation of security and IAM concepts, including GDPR compliance and traceability
9. Ensuring reliability and performance ( retry mechanisms, scalability, monitoring)
10. Establishing observability, incident management and continuous improvement
Profile
11. Strong understanding of core insurance processes (claims, input management, underwriting, portfolio/service) as key integration domains
12. Experience handling complex broker and reinsurer environments with multiple clients, systems, and diverse data formats
13. Ability to design fault-tolerant integrations with high transparency, SLA tracking, and full transaction traceability
14. Deep knowledge of integration architecture patterns (API Gateway, messaging, event streaming, orchestration vs. choreography)
15. Expertise in data modeling, transformation, and workflow/orchestration engines ( BPMN, durable workflows)
16. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (especially Azure) including APIs, eventing, containers, security, and IaC/CI-CD
17. Strong capabilities in AI/data integration, including document processing pipelines, RAG concepts, and handling sensitive data
18. Engineering excellence in testing, performance optimization, clean architecture, and robust error-handling mechanisms
19. Advanced skills in AI governance, observability, FinOps, data governance, and legacy system integration
20. Structured, ownership-driven mindset with strong focus on automation, documentation, cross-functional collaboration, and operational readiness
