Come Innovate Motion with UsAs a Design Engineer in our Gear & Differential Systems team, you will be part of a newly established group dedicated to developing innovative and high-impact solutions for next-generation e-drives. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to exciting and strategically important projects from the ground up.You will be responsible for the end-to-end mechanical design of gears, shafts, housings, and complete differential assemblies. Collaboration is key—you'll work closely with validation, process, and system engineering teams to ensure that designs meet performance, manufacturability, and cost targets.Your responsibilities will be to:Perform macro and micro geometry design of gears and gear systemsOptimize gear tooth root geometry using FEA and fatigue modelsDesign and 3D model mechanical components: gears, shafts, washers, housings, etc.Create technical drawings and tolerance stacks according to automotive standardsSupport DFMEA, tolerance analysis, and design reviewsInterface with internal prototyping and validation teamsCollaborate with manufacturing engineers to ensure process-feasible designsContribute to documentation and design release activitiesOur requirements:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fieldIdeally more than 2 years of experience in mechanical design, ideally in powertrain or gear applicationsPrior exposure to automotive environments preferredProficient in 3D CAD (e.g. Creo, CATIA, or similar) and GD&TBasic understanding of gear design principles (macro/micro geometry, contact patterns) and familiar with gear design tools (KISSsoft, Masta, or similar)Basic understanding of gear manufacturing processesStructured working approach and ability to work in interdisciplinary teamsFluency in English is mandatory. German language proficiency is desirable, while fluency in Chinese would be a significant assetStrong problem-solving and communication skillsWhat we offer:Join a newly established team shaping the future of e-drive technology through innovative gear and differential design. You'll work on impactful projects from the ground up, collaborate across disciplines, and grow your expertise with cutting-edge tools and global engineering practices—all within a supportive and forward-thinking multicultural environment.
