The Mandate
The client is seeking an entrepreneurial Country Manager / Managing Director to establish, lead, and scale the German business. This is a true build role, with full responsibility for market entry, local strategy, commercial success, and long-term positioning.
The successful candidate will act as the senior face of the business in Germany, with significant autonomy and direct access to the global leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
* Market Entry & Strategy: Design and execute the go-to-market strategy for Germany, aligning global vision with local oncology, hospital, and healthcare system realities
* Commercial Ownership: Full P&L responsibility, including revenue growth, partnerships, and sustainable scaling
* Oncology Ecosystem Engagement: Build strong, credible relationships with hospitals, oncology centers, healthcare stakeholders, and key opinion leaders
* Pharmaceutical Partnerships: Identify and develop strategic collaborations with pharmaceutical companies, leveraging the platform’s oncology focus and data-driven value proposition
* Team Build & Leadership: Recruit, lead, and develop a high-performing local team as the business scales
* Stakeholder Representation: Act as the senior representative in Germany, engaging with partners, industry bodies, and relevant healthcare institutions
* Strategic Input: Contribute German market insight to broader EU and corporate strategy discussions
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a senior leader who combines deep oncology sector understanding with entrepreneurial drive and the ability to operate in a fast-scaling digital health environment.
Ideal candidates will have:
* Senior leadership experience (Country Manager, Managing Director, General Manager, or equivalent) within oncology, digital health, life sciences, or adjacent healthcare sectors
* Strong understanding of the oncology landscape in Germany, spanning both hospital-based care and the broader healthcare system
* Demonstrated experience working with or alongside pharmaceutical companies, including partnership development or strategic collaboration
* Proven track record of launching or scaling a business, product, or market in Germany
* Commercial acumen with the ability to balance strategic thinking and hands-on execution
* Credibility with senior external stakeholders and the ability to build trust in complex, regulated environments
* Fluency in German and English
